What is Pole Dance Pilates?

Pole dance and Pilates might seem an unusual combination. Where pole dance is powerful, dynamic, sensual and expressive. Pilates is more precise, controlled and focused on core strength, alignment and balance. But what happens if we bring these two worlds together?

Pole Dance Pilates is a unique and innovative training method that draws on the classical Pilates system as designed by Joseph Pilates, adapted to practice with the pole. The pole proves to be a useful tool to align the body and provide additional support. 

The idea arose from a necessity: because pole dance is a physically demanding sport, many pole dancers experience discomfort and injuries. However, with targeted exercises those injuries can be remedied or even prevented. Through our shared passion and expertise, we have developed a training method that brings together strength, flexibility and body awareness.

With Pole Dance Pilates, we hope to help pole dancers become their best version and to introduce Pilates practitioners and other fitness or movement enthusiasts to the wonderful world of pole dance.
