Meet the team

Ann Van Huffel
Meet Ann

As a passionate Pilates expert, Ann has been running her studio Pilates Works in Antwerp/Belgium since 2001. She did her training with Romana Kryzanowska and Bob Liekens, in New York, where she obtained her certificate as Instructor in the Classical Pilates Method, and at De Pilates Studio® in The Hague. She a certified Iyengar yoga teacher and a Franklin Method Educator - level 2.

Over the years, Ann noticed that many pole dancers suffer from pain complaints that are easy to remedy with the right exercises. Together with her colleague Isabel, she started looking for an effective solution, and thus Pole Dance Pilates was born.

Isabel
Meet Isabel

Isabel discovered Pilates after her pregnancies when she wanted to get her body back into shape. She was not at all athletic and far from flexible, but Pilates changed everything. It gave her more confidence, a stronger body and a new passion. Eventually, she even became a Pilates teacher.

When Isabel discovered Pole Dance a few years later, she found it a great addition to her training: dynamic, playful, but with a great need for stability and balance. She immediately saw how the principles of Pilates fitted perfectly with the strength and flexibility you need in Pole Dancing. And so the concept was born: a combination of both worlds, making your body stronger, more flexible and injury-free.

Tine
Meet Tine

As a true multipassionate, Tine is always looking for new challenges and ways to combine her passions. After her international dance career, she obtained a master’s degree in Dutch and English and later a postgraduate degree in Content marketing. Her love for language and storytelling led her to the world of journalism, where she started working for Marie Claire Belgium. Later on, she gained experience as a content marketer in different sectors.

Yet the call of movement remained irresistible. With her background in dance and her experience as a pole dancer, Tine found her way back into the movement industry and retrained as a Pilates teacher. At Pole Dance Pilates, she combines her knowledge of the body and movement with her passion for communication.
